Diana Cervantes is a bilingual independent photographer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has spent the past four years working at the Daily Lobo and has held multiple positions including photo editor. In the position she hired and mentored many young photographers while editing all photos for the publication and shooting her own. Cervantes has also written news stories for the Daily Lobo.
Cervantes’ work has appeared in the Alibi, New Mexico Newsport, The Farmington Daily Times, and the Mountain View Telegraph. Cervantes tied for 14th in the nation for the Hearst multimedia award for group coverage on the Anapra Border wall entitled, "One Wall, Two Sides, Three Minutes".
Coming from an immigrant family Cervantes is passionate about telling stories of migration, culture and the U.S./Mexico border.
